Miroslav (Miro) Kurka, P.E., PMP, F-SAME leads Mead & Hunt’s Corps of Engineers and Federal Water Program, managing multiple U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) clients. With 44 years of experience, he specializes in planning, feasibility studies, and design, including a successful hydroelectric project on a USACE dam. He has also led numerous USACE civil works, airfield projects, and SF330 proposal efforts. A retired Army engineer with 30 years of service, Miro commanded the USACE Tulsa and Afghanistan Engineer Districts and served as Deputy Commander of the Northwestern Division. He has managed major civil works and military construction projects, collaborating with USACE leadership, state officials, and Congress on key water resource issues. Miro is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, Central Michigan University, and the National Defense University. He is a registered professional engineer in Oklahoma and Oregon and a Project Management Professional. He and his wife, Bonnie, have three grown children and a grandson. He enjoys traveling and meeting new people. |
