Nyika Allen
Aviation Director | City of Albuquerque

Before her position as Aviation Director, Ms. Nyika Allen was President & CEO of the New Mexico Technology Council (NMTC) – the State’s only business association for the technology industry. Prior to her position at the NMTC, she was the ‘Tech Expert’ on Fox New Mexico, former Chair of the New Mexico Association of Commerce and Industry’s Entrepreneurship and Technology Committee, former Chair of the TechHire NM business advisory council and a 2015 TEDxABQ main event speaker.

Ms. Allen holds a BBA in International Management from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico and the UNM Honors Program. She graduated magna cum laude with both university and scholastic achievement honors and a special international designation. She has worked, studied and traveled in over 19 different countries. She formerly served on many board and advisory councils such as: the Small Business Assistance Program (managed jointly by Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories), New Mexico EPSCoR, UNM Anderson Alumni Council, UNM Economic Development Forum, Albuquerque Economic Development, Kirtland Airforce Base Honorary Commander, the Mid-Region Council of Governments – Workforce Connections of Central NM and was recognized as an Albuquerque Business First 2016 Women of Influence honoree, a 40 Under 40 honoree and the most influential 40 under 40 for the class of 2016.

Lisa Leyva
Aviation Development Manager | City of Albuquerque

Lisa Leyva is a native New Mexican born and raised in Albuquerque. She has spent the majority of her career in marketing and business development for the commercial construction industry. In July of 2018, Lisa was recruited to join the Sunport and run the Marketing/PR and Contracts departments as well as air service and business development. Lisa was recognized as an Albuquerque Business First 40 under Forty Honoree in 2017 and Woman of Influence in 2018.
