Beyond the Blueprint: Your Brand Is More Than a Logo
“A brand is not a logo. A brand is the meaning people attach to you.” As Debbie Millman reminds us, “Branding is deliberate differentiation.”
Your logo may get people to the door, but your brand determines whether they stay as clients, talent, or partners of your firm. A brand does not live in the marketing department alone. For design and architecture firms, it shows up in every hiring decision, every studio interaction, and every leadership choice.
Attendees will leave with a way to evaluate how their brand shows up across culture, hiring, operations, and reputation, helping ensure what they want people to say about their firm matches the experience people actually have.
Your firm’s brand is working every day, whether you are actively managing it or not. It shows up in how clients talk about you, how candidates decide whether to apply, how employees describe the culture, and how your website, proposals, and social media shape first impressions.
This session is especially relevant for principals, marketers, recruiters, HR leaders, business developers, content managers, social media managers, and anyone responsible for helping their firm attract the right clients, talent, and opportunities. If your role touches reputation, recruiting, culture, communications, or client experience, your role touches brand.
Learning Objectives
- Understand what brand really means and why it matters for your firm.
- Recognize where your culture, reputation, and day-to-day experience may not match how your firm presents itself.
- See how brand shapes who wants to work with you, who wants to work for you, and who chooses to stay.
- Leave with ideas to help strengthen your brand.
