Michael graduated from New Mexico State University with an Engineering Degree in 1994. He has worked for the New Mexico Department of Transportation for nearly 22 years and for the State Government for nearly 25 years. He was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM and was officially announced as the Department of Transportation Cabinet Secretary on December 26, 2018.
